Welcome to Efficienting

Welcome to Efficienting.com!

This site is meant to share my ideas about improving efficiency in all forms. I found that many business tools are applicable to my personal life, and I want to share with you what I learned.

More info on the basic philosophy of the site is available on the About Effecienting page.

I try to constantly improve all aspects of my life, and I’m always on the lookout for life hacks to “Simplify! Simplify!” I’ve collected enough unique ideas and I want to share them with a larger audience. Think of Efficienting as a dedicated notepad containing all my best tricks, with nothing held back.

This is not a cult, and I am not a guru. You don’t have to do anything I propose. I’m not going to ask you to. But if you do follow a tip, and find it works, then comment. If you can make it better, then comment. I’m a big fan of kaizen, and the feedback helps.

I am not a purveyor of productivity porn. I find that systems like GTD work better in small chunks than as a whole system. In fact, I find that anything marked ‘system’ tends to bend the user to its will. Why adopt a whole system when a small habit can change everything?

I’m going longer than I intended to for an inaugural post, so I’ll leave you wiht my bottom line: If it’s outrageously expensive, overly complex or time consuming, it’s not Efficienting.

Very Zen the concept of freeing oneself of the bonds artificially imposed by ourselves.
A laudable goal in this self imposed Karōshi culture the internet treadmill of our own creation.

I am trying to spend less time ‘online’ and making those times more ‘valuable’ by thinking ahead to what I want/need to achieve when I engage.
