Sunspots and Global Warming: Myth
No correlation between sunspots and global warming. Not even close. The excellent Skeptical Science explains the lack of correlation further.
CO2 is mostly to blame for global warming, not some random spotting activity on the sun. All the more reason to reduce one’s CO2 tonnage by using less energy.

Using psychology to increase recycling
We can harness the power of psychology to ‘trick’ people into recycling more. From removing personal waste-baskets at desks to putting holes in recycling bins, little tricks increase people’s tendency to recycle.
